DDP(Dongdaemun Design Plaza)

'Amazing! Tomorrow’, Welcome to Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). DDP is a multi-cultural complex located at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station in Seoul, Korea. Since its foundation on March 21, 2014, DDP has staged diverse cultural events including exhibitions, fashion shows, product launch shows, forums, conferences and various cultural events. DDP is where new design trends begin and cultures are exchanged. Cheonggyecheon Stream

Cheonggyecheon is a historic stream in Seoul, South Korea, that was once a natural waterway but was covered by an elevated highway for decades. In a landmark urban renewal project from 2003 to 2005, the highway was demolished and the stream was restored. Today, Cheonggyecheon is a popular 11-kilometer-long urban oasis that flows through downtown Seoul. It is a symbol of sustainable urban development and a key recreational space for both locals and tourists. The stream features pedestrian walkways, art installations, and is a venue for various cultural festivals throughout the year, like the Seoul Lantern Festival.

CU Ramyun Library

One wall of the CU Hongdae Sangsang Branch is dedicated to the “Ramyun Library,” a massive collection of instant noodles found in Korea. This massive display case with 100 compartments seems to say, “Welcome! We didn’t know what you like, so we just got everything!” Indeed, there are nearly 105 instant noodle products on display, including 90 from well-known Korean brands such as Buldak Ramen and Shin Ramyun. Considering that most convenience stores offer about 30 types of instant noodles, the collection here is three times as large as those found in most stores.
